Mary Angela Gates

Angela (Mary) Gates (Orcutt) unexpectedly passed away on April 24, 2017 in her home Corbettsville, NY.

Angela was born on November 19, 1956 in Council, NC to her parents, Norman and Eulalie Orcutt. She married Robert Gates in 1980. She was predeceased by her mother, father, and brothers Butch and Mike.  Angela is survived by; her husband, of 37 years Robert Gates; daughter and son-in-law, Gwendalyn and Daniel Iversen, one grand-daughter, Maryn Iversen all of Lake Park, NC; one sister, Vicky Prentice, Leeland, NC, and many nieces and nephews, and cousins.

Angela was an avid collector of American Folk Art, as well as an exceptional seamstress of costumes and dresses.  She was a devoted employee of the The Family Enrichment Network, where she love the children she nourished, for over 30 years, going out of her way to make their day special.  She will be missed by her Saturday Morning Breakfast Friends, special work friends, special friends Doreen and Kathy, and loving family.

Friends are welcome to attend a memorial Friday, April 28 from 4-6 PM at The Family Enrichment Network 24 Cherry St. Johnson City, NY.  All are welcome to attend and celebrate Angela’s life.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.SavageFS.com. Arrangements were entrusted to Savage-DeMarco Funeral Service and a private service will be held in June for family.
