Dorothy “Dottie” Gerdus, 79, of Binghamton passed away Tuesday February 13, 2018. She was predeceased by; her husband Robert, her son Robert, her daughter Patricia, and her granddaughter Karen Quick. She is survived by; one daughter, Katherine Rutkowski, Endwell; 9 grandchildren, Kim (Jason) Lawrence, Christine and Michele Gerdus and their mother Beverly Bowen; James (Julie), Joseph (Bree), and Kelli Quick; Linzee Jones, Thomas Waters, and Zenon Rutkowski; 10 great-grandchildren, Trevor, Liam, Bella, Brooke, Alex, Blake, Brynn, Jocelyn, Brantley, and Braelynn; one Brother and sister-in-law, Fran and Sylvia Carlin; one brother-in-law, Ray Gerdus; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was a long-time helpful member of St. Andrew’s Church, she worked for Singer Link and retired from Ametek after many years.
NOTE TIME CHANGE: A Funeral Mass will be offered 10 AM Saturday, February 17, 2017 at Sts. John & Andrew Church in Binghamton with Msgr. Meagher officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 5-7 pm at the Savage Family Center 338-344 Conklin Ave in Binghamton. Online condolences may be expressed at www.SavageFS.com. Burial will be private in the family plot at Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are by Savage-DeMarco Funeral Service Endicott.
